Mulholland Drive

This video of Mulholland Drive by Eyedress explores the connection between the camera and the viewer’s eye. The video is filmed as if from the viewer’s perspective, with visual effects to distort the original image and create a sense of abstraction that separates the viewer from reality. The sense of distortion connects to the lyrics of Eyedress’ song, which explore themes of risky behavior and mental illness.

Sneaky

Sneaky is a short animated film that focuses on using simple shapes to convey emotion. Within the animation, the characters are merely circles yet the viewer is able to discern their emotions and empathize with their predicament. The viewer cannot help but root for the main character as they narrowly evade their pursuers.

Introspection

Introspection is another project that explores the perspective of the viewer in relation to the camera lens. The title itself, Introspection, alludes to the very definition of the word: the examination or observation of one's own mental and emotional processes.

In examining the scenes around them, the viewer is transported to an eerie sci-fi movie title sequence that generates a sense of suspense, leaving the viewer wondering whether they are the observer or the one being observed.
